The Altra Timp 4 is built to handle almost any distance on the trails. With a new EgoMax midsole, the Timp now has a premium foam compound underfoot that not only protects the legs but also helps to bounce runners down the trail. The MaxTrac outsole offers claw-like grip on a variety of terrain, and the flex grooves carved into the rubber give this shoe an adaptable ride on everything from rocky trails to smooth segments of fire roads. Finished off with a breathable knit upper, the Timp 4 features "Standard" foot shape which is right in the middle of the "Original" and "Slim" options for a secure midfoot fit with a slightly roomier toe box. The significant changes to the Altra Timp 4 increase the shoe's comfort over longer distances and make it an even more reliable daily trainer that any trail runner can love.
